UPDATE: MAY 22-DECEMBER 3

Hello All!

Well, considering no one reads my blog and I've been extremelly busy, I haven't had time to update.  So, here goes a quick description:

May 22- Eddie and I went on our honeymoon to Reno, Nevada.  We had a blast!

In Virginia City-The Bucket of Blood.  My extended family has owned this bar for decades.

We had room service for breakfast.  It was amazing!

June-August- We got a trailor and moved into it instead of living in my parents house.  We call it the "LOVE SHACK" haha

Sorry no outside pictures.  We remodeled a lot of the place, but it still needed a lot of extra work that we couldn't afford :(  But it was worth everything!  The privacy of newlyweds is priceless :)

August-November-  Began subbing again, Eddie still working at the store waiting to go to Boot Camp.

July 2-5- Eddie, his brother Timmy and I travelled to Huntington Beach for Independence Day.  It was Timmy's first time down in Orange County.  We had a blast!

Eddie and Timmy were learning how to surf.

At Huntington Beach near Newport.

On the Huntington Beach Pier.

October 25- Eddie's Navy Farewell.  Pictures coming soon.  My camara is dead and I can't get the pictures on here :(

November 2-5- Eddie and I had a PRE-CHRISTMAS since he'll be in Boot Camp during our first Christmas as a married couple.  We decided to go to Weaverville which is about 45 minutes west of Redding.  We got each other presents and even decorated a tiny little Christmas Tree.  It was definitely worth every minute.

May 21, 2011

HOLY COW!  The wedding is a mere 19 days away... I am very excited but have to say that wedding planning is STRESSFUL!  Family members inviting other people (Without our knowledge!) People inviting themselves, flower arrangements, photographer, cake, DJ, babysitters, MONEY, OH it has been a rollercoaster of an engagement!  (We still love each other so I'm not worrying about that).

What really came to mind last night was, WHY are we doing all this extra stuff?  We love each other and want to be married, does it really matter if we have a bug extravagant wedding?  We just want to go and elope!  But when I thought about it, it's stressful right now but in the end it will be worth it.  I get to walk down the aisle with my dad and get married to the man I love in front of our family and friends.

So, for those that are in the process of getting married, just think of the outcome and not all the stressful things that are in the beginning. :)

2010

WOW!  It has been waaay too long since I've blogged!  I'm kinda ashamed, but 2010 has been sooo busy!  I hope to begin and continuously blog this new year.  Here's a recap of what happened in 2010:

December 2009:  I moved to Round Mountain, CA.

January: Started the teaching credential program at Simpson University in Redding, CA

February: Started working at the Golden Bear Store and Deli

March: Met my wonderful boyfriend Eddie through co-workers.  He's amazing :)

April:  My brother Corey got me a Miniature Schnauzer, I named her Liesl.  A couple days later we went and got a cat, named him Oliver.

They're best buds!
May:  Went to Utah for my best-friend since 2nd grade Megan's wedding.

July:  Went to Huntington Beach to celebrate the Fourth (In Style!)

August:  Started Student Teaching at Montgomery Creek Elementary School in Kindergarten and First grade.

We also had a bad fire right by our house, it burned a bit of our property.

Septemeber:  I turned 23!  WOW I'm getting old!

October:  Ended k-1 and went to Burney Elementary in Fourth Grade.  Had an AWESOME Halloween Party at mi casa.

November:  Cooked my FIRST Thanksgiving Dinner!  It was small, but humble.

December:  Finished Student Teaching- Man it was hard!  The hardest and most stressful thing I have ever done.  But I have learned so much and have grown as a teacher and a person.

My little Honey Bunches of Oats!

Well, That's that!  There were so many other things that happened in between here and there, but these are the fun/biggest ones.  It wasn't that EXCITING of a year, but I sure was busy!  Mind you, from JANUARY to DECEMBER I have THREE weeks of no school.  During all of this I was in school or student teaching.

Burnin' Surprises

So since I've been at "home" in Round Mountain with my parents, I had the opportunity to help my Dad burn some stuff around the house. I know that sounds a little funny, but up here you can burn! Pretty much what it it entails is a bunch of trees and bushes that had been cleared a few months ago on our property. Theres about 10 piles of bushes that have been sitting on our property waiting to be burned... Mind you they're not little piles. They're about 10 feet tall and 30 feet long... A LOT of stuff to burn.

So when I went to help my Dad, I was in an area where the dirt was kind of moist and as I picked up some piles of branches, this is what I found!!

A Salamander! We have never seen one on our property and considering that we're not too near water it was a shock to see one! I've never actually seen one up close in real life before either. After I took his picture I let him go :( but the funny thing is that a week later my Dad and I was out in another area burning and we saw ANOTHER one... Weird! My parents have lived up here for three years and this is the first non-frog amphibian we've seen.

I know its not all that impressive but I thought that it was pretty neat.
